Welcome to MHCDF
Mercy Hearts Community Development Foundation is an indigenous organization based in Mpigi town council (Uganda) whose work is to ensure that orphans and vulnerable children (OVC) live a decent life by supporting their education and nutrition. MHCDF also is at the forefront of leading activities geared towards the prevention of HIV. At the same time, MHCDF is committed to protecting children and young people’s rights including the right to protection. MHCDF is committed to the realization of protection of children’s rights under article 19 of the United Nations Convention on Right of the child (UNCRC). We will take positive actions that aim at preventing child abuse as we protect children from harm, abuse, neglect and any form of exploitation.
The organization has immensely contributed to the plight of orphans and vulnerable children by offering them with life skills and scholastic materials. We envision a community where the girl-child and women live up to their full potential as equal and empowered members of society. We train women in saving and investment skills, support girl-child with sanitary pads.
